Christopher Miller is state bound

BERKELEY SPRINGS— After an impressive showing during the Regional Golf Tournament, held at Cacapon State Park last week, Bearcat Senior Christopher Miller is headed to the 2020 WVSSAC Golf State Championship.

During Regionals, Miller teed off against fellow golfers from Berkeley Springs, East Fairmont, Fairmont Senior, Frankfort, Keyser, North Marion, Oak Glen and Weir.

“He played lights out. He didn’t let anyone get in his head. He did his thing and it showed,” commented Miller’s mother, Susie Miller.

Miller finished the round with two under par 70, recording one bogey and three birdies, earning him the title of AA Region 1 Champion.

With his community and school rallying behind him, on Tuesday, October 6, Miller will look to continue his climb to the top, competing in the two-day 2020 WVSSAC Golf State Championship, at Oglebay Resort in Wheeling.

Miller is set to tee off for his staring round on Tuesday, at 9:51 a.m.

Congratulations and Good luck Christopher Miller!
