GRAFTON—Grafton High School presented a Chili Cook-off for the school and community on Friday, January 17, prior to the boys’ basketball game.
Nine teams had cooked chili and the public was invited to sample the chili and judge the best chili by making a donation to their favorite chili.
The GHS Youth Leadership Association (YLA) organized the chili cook-off with guidance from GHS principal, Mrs. Shumaker, and the YLA advisor, Mr. Zukowski. All proceeds from the cookoff went to the Taylor County Humane Society.
On Tuesday, February 4 at a school-wide assembly, a check for $401.92 was presented to Brenda Gerkin of the Taylor County Humane Society by YLA President Braydon McCullough.
We look forward to having another chili cook-off next January!
