Carl Michael Shaffer, 63, of Grafton, passed away at his home Friday, September 22, 2017. He was born in Grafton, October 11, 1953, a son of the late Carl T. and JoAnn Leslie Wiseman Shaffer.

Mike was a graduate of Grafton High School, Class of 1973. He was employed by the Taylor County Board of Education for 30 years. He loved bluegrass music and played many instruments and enjoyed playing music with his friends. Mike loved riding his Harley Davidson and enjoying the views of nature. He loved working in his yard, but the most important part of Mike’s life was the Good Lord, and the Bible was in his lap when he was called home.
He is survived by one daughter, Nicole Shaffer, Waynesburg, PA, one brother, Greg Shaffer and wife Judy Flemington, two sisters, Lea Ann Vandegrift and husband Tim, Fairmont, Tammy Shaffer, Bridgeport, one niece Lexie Myers, Clarksburg, one nephew, Christopher Myers, and wife Madie Fairmont.
Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home 202 McGraw Ave. Grafton, on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, from 2:00-8:00 p.m., and on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Ron Ford officiating.
