Bryan Alan Francis

Bryan Alan Francis, 33, of Fairmont, departed his Earthly life unexpectedly on Monday, December 14, 2020 in Shelby, NC.

He was born in Fairmont on April 10, 1987, a son of Robert “Bob” Russell Francis and Theresa Lynn Blake Francis.

Bryan is survived by his parents: Theresa Francis of Weston, and Robert Francis of Fairmont; maternal grandparents: Tom and Margaret Blake of Roanoke; paternal grandparents: Russell and Vera Francis of Fairmont; two brothers: Sean Francis and partner, Meghan Cutright, and Blake Francis both of Weston; one sister, Kaitlyn Conaway of Farmington; niece and nephew: Sophia and Liam Francis; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly.

Bryan attended Grafton High School and was Catholic by faith. He was previously employed as a welder/fabricator with D & L Fabricators and Roc Incorporated. Bryan was also a mechanic at Toothman Ford and Chenoweth Ford, and worked in the Federal II Mines in Fairview. He was recently employed with JJ Welding in North Carolina. Bryan was known for his love of cars and motorcycles, or anything with a loud motor. He was skilled at painting and body repair. Bryan enjoyed receiving cars or bikes, and transforming them into his own masterpiece. In addition, Bryan was a talented welder and enjoyed a challenging job. Of all his titles, “Uncle Bry” was his favorite and he loved his niece, nephew, and other children within his family tremendously. He was a part of Guardians for Children for a period of time, an organization which advocates for children. Bryan also had a soft spot for dogs, specifically pit bulls. He would do anything to help a dog in need. His dog, Jix, was his faithful companion and gave him a form of happiness that only a dog could bring; they are now together again. Bryan enjoyed rock music, the louder the better, and it served as therapy to his soul. Bryan was known to say “I can sleep when I’m dead” when questioned about his on-the-go, ever changing lifestyle. Sleep peacefully, Bryan. You are forever remembered and forever loved.

Due to the current COVID-19 regulations, masks are required when indoors. Family and friends will gather for visitation at Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service located at 144 Hackers Creek Rd. in Jane Lew from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2020.
