Blueville Church of the Nazarene welcomes new pastor

GRAFTON—The Blueville Church of the Nazarene welcomes Pastor Jeff Haught and his wife Barbra,  to the church and to the community.

The Haught’s live in Fairmont, West Virginia, and Jeff works at West Virginia University. Barbra is a high school teacher with Marion and Monongalia county schools.

They have two daughters, and two grandchildren. One of their daughters lives in Fairmont, with her husband and two sons. Their second daughter lives in Baltimore, Maryland, with her husband, where she is pursuing her Masters degree.

Haught expressed, he could not do this without his wife’s support and help, “She is excited for our new venture, we are a team.”

Haught shared, he has been in youth ministry for many years. He started filling in as pastor last year, on and off, as the church needed.

In February, he accepted the church’s offer and became the full-time pastor. “I felt a calling from God to be here, and to reach out to the community,” said Haught.

He said the journey so far has been busy, but very rewarding. “Grafton has alot of good people. The town is very friendly and close-knit. The people here seem to care deeply about one another and their city.”

According to Haught, the Blueville Church of the Nazarene has been in Grafton for 51 years. The church is a family-oriented church, and the community is welcome to attend service.

“We strive to be a welcoming church. I really have the desire to help young families and lead them better with God,” said Haught.
