TAYLOR COUNTY—Black Market Shine will be making their way to Tygart Lake State Park this weekend, to bring a unique performance to guests.
The Tygart Lake State Park Foundation would like to invite community members and guests to another great showcase during their ongoing Music in the Park summer series.
Black Market Shine was formed earlier this year, and features the talent of Greg Harrison, who performed a solo show at the lake earlier this summer, along with Sam Nesbitt, Mark Dinaldo and Zack Lilley.
“The music scene is something Greg, Sam and Zack have enjoyed together for many years, but we decided it was time for a new identity. So, we came together and formed Black Market Shine,” said a band member. “Mark, a longtime friend and one of the most creative drummers around, decided to join us, as well.”
The group revealed that another talent has decided to sit in with the band from time to time, and they are thrilled to play alongside John Bonnett.
“Outside of being able to play anything from Hendrix to Stapleton he brings great vocals to add to the band,” the group voiced.
The group hopes to bring a new vibe to the music scene, and will be performing their original works, as well as some well-known and new covers.
“We enjoy playing new rock and country covers that we know everyone enjoys, as well as stepping into more music genres to experience new artists that may not be as widely known,” the group disclosed.
In the future, Black Market Shine hopes to not only add to their membership, but they would love to start branching out and exploring different venues across the state, But for now, they are happy to get their foot in the door.
This will be the group’s first appearance at Tygart Lake State Park, but they shared they are hoping it won’t be their last.
“We are looking forward to playing at Tygart. Come out and enjoy a lazy Sunday afternoon with Black Market Shine at the lake,” Black Market Shine boasted. “We’ll be overlooking the lake, so boaters, bring them in close and enjoy our live performance at Music in the Park!”
The concert will take place on the patio at Tygart Lake Lodge, overlooking the waters of the lake, from 2:00-4:00 p.m., this Sunday, August 7.
While the event is free and open to the public, donations are always welcomed and accepted by the foundation, as they continue to work to improve the state park for all who visit.
Donations may be mailed to the Tygart Lake State Park Foundation at 1240 Paul Malone Rd. Grafton, WV 26354.
“The foundation would like to thank our sponsors Almost Heaven Desserts and Coffee and Bruce and Marilyn Kidd,” expressed a Tygart Lake State Park Foundation representative. “We hope that you will join us for another fun Sunday in the park!”
