Biddy League season comes to an end


TAYLOR COUNTY—Another successful 2019-20 Taylor County Biddy League season came to an end on Wednesday with four teams competing for the Homer Knotts Memorial Tournament championship in two divisions.

Throughout the season, teams competed for the Tommy Shay Memorial Tournament title at the beginning of the season, then went on to play for the regular season championship, then competed for the Homer Knotts Memorial tournament championship this past Wednesday. All games were played at Grafton’s St. Augustine Social Center.

In the 2nd and 3rd grade league, the Little Pirates won the Tommy Shay Memorial Tournament as well as the regular season championship, while the Little 76ers won the Homer Knotts Memorial Tournament.

The Little Pirates were coached by Tim Hussion, Alan Wilfong, and Jared Mlinarcik, while the Little 76ers were coached by Jay Taylor, Chase Morris, and Shawn Trickett.

In the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade league, the Pistons won the Tommy Shay Memorial Tournament, while the 76ers won the regular-season championship and the Homer Knotts Memorial Tournament.

The Pistons were coached by Mike Moats and Steve Louzy, while the 76ers were coached by Dave Gabbert and Chad Gray.
