GRAFTON—The City of Grafton will be accepting sealed bids for vehicles and equipment from now until Friday, March 17, 2017, at 4:00 p.m.
According to City Manager Kevin Stead, the city will auction off three vehicles and a snowplow, which were previously used by departments within the city. He said the vehicles will be sold “as is.”
The vehicles included are, a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 truck, a 2005 Dodge Durango and a 2006 Dodge Durango.
The 2001 Dodge Ram was used by the Department of Public Works, and can be viewed by contacting the department, by phone at 304-265-1234, between the hours of 8:00 a.m., and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
For individuals wishing to place bids on either Durango, they can be seen by contacting the Grafton City Police Department, at 304-265-0101, during regular office hours. The department is open for regular business Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m., until 4:00 p.m.
According to Stead, bid proposals must be sealed in an envelope with the bidders name and address on the outside, and must be clearly marked “Vehicles/Equipment.” The bids must be delivered or mailed to the City of Grafton no later than 4:00 p.m., on March 17.
Individuals mailing their bids, will need to send them to the attention of the City Clerk, City of Grafton, 1 West Main Street, Grafton, WV, 26354.
Stead said any unsealed bids will not be accepted, and that no bid proposals can be withdrawn for 90 days after the time of the opening of the proposal. He also explained that the City of Grafton reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
All sealed bids will be publicly opened during a regularly scheduled City Council Meeting, on March 21, 2017, at 6:30 p.m., in the Grafton City Council Chambers, located adjacent to City Hall, on Main Street.
