Beware of the woods this weekend

TAYLOR COUNTY—Every year, the community looks forward to the Terror on the Tygart Haunted Hayride.

The Tygart Lake State Park Foundation hosts the annual event and hundreds of people come to the state park to take part in the spooky-fun hayride.

This year, the hayride will take place on Friday, October 25, and Saturday, October 26, from 6:30-9:00 p.m.

The admission for the family-friendly hayride is $2. Riders will board hayride at Park Office/Nature Center.

Be sure to get your little ghouls and goblins dressed and ready to come out on Saturday. The foundation will a hosting a costume contest.

Individuals and businesses will be set up along the route offering some scares as riders venture through the woods.

Make sure to check out the concession stand while there. There will be hot chocolate, monster bash munch (candied popcorn), hot dogs, pulled pork sandwiches and more.

The foundation would like to remind those that are planning to attend that there is limited parking at Nature Center. So, if you can, try to plan to carpool with your friends and family to help.
