Betty Olive (Stevens) Holmes, age 90, of National Pike, Salem, PA, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018, at the Uniontown Hospital.
She was born August 2, 1927, in Grafton, WV a daughter of the late John Isaac and Etta Pearl (Grimm) Stevens.
She is survived by two daughters, Jean F. Miller (Dale) of Grafton Road, Independence, WV and Wilma Lee Holmes of National Pike, New Salem, PA; five grandchildren, Jeffrey D. Miller, Robert S. Miller, Sr., Jason L. Miller (Amie) Rebekah J. Rowe (Kevin), and David J. Miller (Danielle); eight great-grandchildren, Katelynn L. Knotts, Robert S. Miller, Jr., Christian A. Miller, Braden M. Miller, Cody L. Miller, Ella J. Miller, Guerin A. Rowe, Carter J. Miller; and one great-great-grandchild, Abigale Knotts; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lee Holmes who passed away October 13, 2015; two sisters, Violet Watkins and Opal V. Ford; three brothers, David I. Stevens, Charles J. Stevens, and Arthur J. Stevens.
Betty was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She graduated from Grafton High School with the Class of 1945. She enjoyed her family, embroidering, and reading.
The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Monday, February 19, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Tuesday.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at 12:00 p.m., with Pastor Ronald G. Ford officiating.
Interment will follow at the Matthew Cemetery in Independence.
