GRAFTON—The Grafton City Hospital Auxiliary held its Annual Spring Banquet on Friday to honor volunteers for their countless hours of service.
Auxiliary President Debbie Kines welcomed the members to the dinner and the led pledge of allegiance, followed by the invocation
Auxiliary members gathered in the cafeteria of the hospital for a delicious meal of lasagna and breadsticks. After enjoying the main course guests were treated to strawberry pie for dessert. The meal was provided by the Nutrition Services at the hospital.
After guests enjoyed their meal and dessert, they enjoyed entertainment provided by Sound of the Mountains.
Carrie Fitzwater, Special Event Coordinator, shared that the event is a way to give thanks to the members and all that they do for the patients at the hospital.
Fitzwater shared she was very happy with the turnout of over 30 volunteers who were able to come enjoy the afternoon together.
Fitzwater shared that throughout the year, the auxiliary provides and helps with many services and events at the hospital including the gift shop, health fair, blood drives, special meals for the holidays, bingo at the Taylor Health Care Center, residents of the month and anything else they feel there is a need for.
The banquet is one of three events the auxiliary host for its members throughout the year. They host a winter banquet and a summer picnic, as well.
