GRAFTON—Dragon’s Den Mixed Martial Arts will proudly present the Fourth Annual Rumble on the River on Saturday, April 22.
The event is set to be held at Taylor County Middle School, with doors opening at 8:00 a.m., and the first event beginning at 9:00 a.m., followed by a black belt meeting at 10:30 a.m. and line up at 11:00 a.m.
Competitions for the day include board breaking, weapons forms, empty hand forms, five point sparring and one point sparring. All sparring competitors are required to wear foam head, hand and foot protective gear, as well as a mouthpiece and a protective cup.
Each competition will be broken down into belt levels, which are novice, intermediate, advanced and black belts. Age breakdowns for sparring, forms/kata, weapons and board breaking are ages five and under, six to seven, eight to nine, ten to eleven, twelve to thirteen, fourteen to fifteen, sixteen to seventeen, eighteen to thirty-five and thirty-six and up.
“We are confident that you will find our tournament to be a fun, exciting and challenging experience that you will add to your calendars for years to come,” said Dragon’s Den MMA owner, Eric Swick.
Awards will be presented to first, second, third and fourth place finishers.
Those wishing to participate may register now, or at the door the day of the event. The cost to register is $50. Boards will also be available for purchase during the event. The cost of admission for spectators and non-competitors will be $5, and children five years of age and under will be admitted at no cost.
