Annual car show looking for vehicles

FLEMINGTON—Soon community members and guests will be visiting Flemington for the annual Flemington Days Festival, and what festival would be complete without some cool antiques or sleek muscle cars?

The Flemington Emergency Squad will once again be hosting their annual car show in conjunction with this year’s festival.

Car enthusiast and motorheads are encouraged to check out this year’s show on Sunday, September 22, from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., which will feature various cars and truck models from years past.

Do you have a cool ride you’d like to show off? Joining the car show is as simple as arriving at 10:00 a.m. the morning of the event to get registered. Each participant will be required to pay a $10 registration fee.

Organizers have revealed that dash plaques will be given to the first 50 participants to get registered.

During the day, guests will get to check out the vehicles, while supporting a wonderful organization.

“All of the proceeds from the show will be used to upgrade vital equipment at the EMS,” shared Jason McDaniel, with the EMS.

Does your vehicle reign supreme? Put it to the test to claim on of the top 15 spots and a trophy. There will also be an award given out to the vehicle that catches the attention of the EMS, when they award their Squad Members Choice.

The trophy presentation will take place at 3:30 p.m.

Be sure to get to the event early and grab your seat at the table, as breakfast will be served in the EMS Building the morning of the event.

While perusing through the cars and trucks, guests will be treated to the cool sounds of DJ, Stewart Whitehair, who will be providing music for this year’s event.

Stick around after the trophy presentation and grab a bite to eat, as the EMS will also be serving up a delicious dinner.

Hungry car fans will be able to choose from baked steak or stuffed chicken breast. Along with their main entrée, they will be served mashed potatoes, green beans, salad and bread. Tea, water and coffee will also be available with the purchase of a meal.

The cost to have Flemington EMS workers and volunteers cook for you is just $10 a dinner.

“This is our 21st year hosting the car show, and we want it to be just as successful as in the past, if not more,” said McDaniel. “So, come out and enjoy the day, while supporting a great organization.”

McDaniel imparted, “We hope to see you at the car show!”
