GRAFON—The Anna Jarvis Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization, is reaching out to community businesses for donations, for the Annual Mother’s Day Color Run.
This year, the PTO is expanding the event, to include baskets and raffles, in efforts to help raise money for different school projects.
“We have a fundraising goal of $15,000 for this event. With the funds, we hope to promote physical fitness by improving the playground, basketball court, nature trail and other outdoor activities,” said, a member of the PTO.
The PTO stated, they are accepting donations in any form, including but not limiting to monetary, gift cards, and items for the baskets. They will also accept a prepared basket.
Individuals who are donating items will need to include their business card, to insure recognition for their sponsorship. Sponsors will be recognized on the school sign, and the event banner, as well as, on the color run t-shirts.
Some of the suggested basket and raffle themes are, weekend getaways, bicycles for boy or girl, legos, Mother’s Day spa, mommy and daughter day, father and son day, and car care.
The PTO will be accepting donations until March 31. If you would like to make a donation but need more time, please contact Principal Gunderson.
Any businesses wishing to donate can contact the school, at 304-265-4090, and ask to leave a message for the PTO. PTO members will come pick up donations at your convenience.
“We appreciate the community’s generosity. Thank you for helping make our Annual Mother’s Day Color Run a huge success for our children,” expressed the PTO members.
