TAYLOR COUNTY—The Tygart Lake State Park Foundation was prepared to welcome guests to a one-of-a-kind show featuring Top Shelf earlier this month, but due to inclement weather, the show was put on hold.
Everyone knows that in the world of entertainment, the show must go on, and to ensure that residents were treated to the cool sounds of the band, the foundation has invited them back for a special showcase this Sunday.
The show will be the final in their Music in the Park summer series, so be sure to plan on attending.
Top Shelf has made a name for themselves playing in local and area venues, bringing a great blend of oldies, rock and country hits.
They can be heard covering such classics as “Love Shack,” “Purple Rain” and “Some Kind of Wonderful” to “Pontoon,” “Seven Bridges Road” and “Tennessee Whiskey.”
To learn more about the band and get a little sampling of their sound, be sure to like and follow them on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/TopShelfEntertainmentWV.
The concert will take place on the patio at Tygart Lake Lodge, overlooking the waters of the lake, from 2:00-4:00 p.m., this Sunday, September 4.
While the event is free and open to the public, donations are always welcomed and accepted by the foundation, as they continue to work to improve the state park for all who visit.
Donations may be mailed to the Tygart Lake State Park Foundation at 1240 Paul Malone Rd. Grafton, WV 26354.

“The foundation would like to thank our sponsors for this show, Tichnell Enterprises All Terrain Mowing & Snow/Ice Removal,” expressed a Tygart Lake State Park Foundation representative. “Come get the Top Shelf experience at Tygart Lake!”
The foundation would also like to announce that they are seeking crafters and vendors for their annual Appalachian Fall Festival. This year’s event will be held on October 1 from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and will have something for every member of the family to enjoy.
Those interested in taking part in the festival are asked to please contact the Tygart Lake State Park Foundation’s Facebook page via private message.
Would you like to get in on the action happening at Tygart Lake? Have some good ideas about fun events for the whole family?
Then you should be sure to stop by the foundation’s next regularly scheduled meeting. The group meets on the third Tuesday of each month.
The next meeting is slated to be held on Tuesday, September 20, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Tygart Lake Lodge.
“We’d love for anyone with great ideas, a good attitude and a helping hand to come and join the foundation,” said the representative. “We hope to see you there!”
