We have entered a brand-new year. The year 2020 was a very rough year. We saw and heard things we never had heard or seen before. Huge numbers of deaths from the virus were recorded, there was protesting in the streets, fires burning in California, homes destroyed, lives lost, jobs lost, schools closed, changes in class scheduling and shortages in toilet paper and cleaning supplies. What a year. But God was still on the throne. He took care of us.
We are praying for a better year this year. We experienced churches closing, no visitation in nursing homes and hospitals. Not even preachers could visit hospitals. People were full of fear and anxiety. Nothing will ever be like it once was. We are looking forward to better things to come. People feel like enough is enough. We need changes.
Jesus promises good things for his people. It doesn’t matter what takes place, God is more than able to take care of us. Yesterday is gone, tomorrow may never come. God will take car of us. We must put our trust in him. We can’t give ourselves another breath without him. The song writer says, “I can’t even walk without him holding my hand.” He is the only one that leads to life. No other way. He is the answer to all of your problems.
Psalm 121 says,” I will look to the hills from whence cometh my help.” He loves me and wants the best for me. He’s my shepherd, my counselor, my Prince of Peace and my soon coming King. No matter what lays ahead, we can be safe and secure in Jesus. I don’t know what this year will hold, but I know who holds my hand and my tomorrow. He holds my future. Jesus promises that the best is yet to come.
Yours in Christ Jesus
