In Micah 6:8 it tells us what God requires from us. To walk justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with our God. God expects us to follow the example Jesus was for us. Christ showed us how we are to walk and how we are to live our lives. We must show love, compassion, mercy and to be just with all man to walk humbly before our God.
God told Adam what he expected, but Adam didn’t listen. They were then removed from the garden. Sin come into being. He gave Moses the ten commandments. He requires us to love the Lord thy God with all our hearts, body, soul and mind, and to do so with all of our strength. He also wants us to love our neighbor as thyself. (Luke 10:27)
We must be holy even as his is holy. We are to walk a Godly life, and if we do this, we will live. We can’t walk this path by ourselves, we need Jesus. Only by the precious blood of Jesus that cleanseth us from all of our sins. We cannot walk without him holding our hand. Our ways are not his ways. His thoughts are not our thoughts. His ways are higher than ours. That’s why he is God, and we are his children.
We are to live the Christian life so God can be pleased with his children. He deserves that much from us. Jesus paid the price so we can go to heaven, and that by his stripes we are healed. We are to obey and walk in his ways. That’s not too much to ask after the price he paid for us.
Jesus paid it to all. I owe my life to him. He is in control of both body and soul. You are here for a reason; to live God’s way and to walk in them. Choose ye this day, whom you will serve.
Yours in Christ Jesus
