We need to put on the whole armor of God. We have somehow left off part of our armor when in battle. We can’t do that; we lose battle even before we start the fight. We must put on the helmet of salvation, shield of faith, breastplate of righteousness. Feet shod with preparation of peace, loins gird with truth, and have a sword of the spirit (Ephesian 6:11-18).
We must always pray with prayer and supplication in the spirit. Watching always with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. We can’t go to the battle without our whole armor of God. That’s why we get defeated. We go out half dressed, but when we put on the whole armor of God, we can win the battle.
A soldier must wear his or her uniform when going to battle. It’s for their protection. We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities against power, against values of this world. Darkness, spirited wickedness in high places. We need the whole armor, not just part of it. The armor covers the whole front of you. The back is not covered because we are not to look backward, only forward. The bible tells us that if we hold on to the plow and look backward, we are not fit for the kingdom of God (Luke 9:62)
The church is running around not being fully dressed. It’s time to get dressed for the battle. Just as the bible tells us to put on the whole armor of God, and then with Jesus Christ, we can win the battle and not always be defeated.
Yours in Christ Jesus,
