A Woman of the Most High God: It is God we are to please, not man!

When God speaks to you and tells you what his plan for you, you don’t need man’s approval. Man’s way is not God’s way. God knows all and he sees all. The scripture verse says, “Why aren’t thou mindful of man?” Man doesn’t have all of the answers. There are things in this life that we might not understand, but God holds us in the palm of his hand.

The year 2020 was a rough year, but God has always been faithful to each one of us.

The Bible tells us, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you.” We need this direction of God in our lives. The direction we find in the holy bible. The Psalmist David says that he is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. The only way we are going to make it through this coming year is by and through Jesus.

The Psalmist David tells us we must seek Jesus’s face daily. We must study the word of God and pray daily. We can’t even walk without him holding our hands. The world is in the shape it is in because we have forgotten God and his ways. We have done it our own way. And who are we hurting? It’s not God’s way.

The bible tells us, “Straight is the gate and narrow is the way and few there be that find it.” There is a price to pay when we do it our own way. Our families are suffering, especially our children and grandchildren. II Chronicles 7:14 tells us that if God’s people who are called by his name, will humble themselves and pray, turn from their wicked ways, seek his face, THEN will he hear from Heaven and he will forgive their sins and will heal their land. Only God can help us do that. Even Jesus prayed in the garden, “Father, not my will, but your will be done.” Jesus came to do the will of his heavenly father. We can do nothing without Jesus.

This coming year, we must turn our lives and our will over to God’s ways, not man’s. Search me O God and know my heart I pray. Try me and see if there are any wicked ways in me. Create a clear heart in me and a right spirit. Let’s live God’s way, not man’s, and we will be able to live a victorious life. Maybe our country will turn back to God, and we can be the country we used to be, based on God’s word. One nation, under God. Stand upon his word.

Yours in Christ Jesus,

Teresa Reid
