GRAFTON—The people of Grafton asked for it and Eric Swick and John Poling delivered. The first Muay Thai Kickboxing took place at the Grafton Martial Arts Academy January 6th and it was a complete success.
Twenty people showed up for the inaugural class Monday evening and it sounds like everyone had a wonderful time.
“So fun. And a hard workout! Eric Swick and John Poling thanks for taking us on!” said attendee Crystal Rucker.
Kickboxing offers a multitude of benefits including reducing stress. Students can kick and punch their way to a stress-free zone within minutes of their high-energy kickboxing routine. The movements in kickboxing challenge several core muscle groups and gives a total body workout, fast.
Need an energy boost? Kickboxing could be the answer. Kickboxing is a high-energy cardio routine that gives the body and mind a boost and will increase energy levels. Students will be breathing hard and sweating out toxins; this process will give energy levels a much-needed boost.
And of course, kickboxing is a major calorie burner. Muscle and Fitness Magazine reports that fitness kickboxing can burn over 800 calories per hour, so folks will be be toning up their entire body as they rev up their metabolism. It’s a high-power cardio routine that’s great for weight loss and getting in shape, fast.
“Classes are taught by me a 5th degree black belt in Shotokan and I am a National rank Instructor Guru in Muay Thai Kickboxing. Training Muay Thai is what you make it out to be. Whether you set out to fight, keep fit, lose weight, or because Muay Thai is the coolest sport/martial art in the world (it is), this here right now is where it all begins. It is both the most exciting and also vulnerable period for almost everyone who has ever trained in the sport, particularly people with no martial arts background,” explained Swick.
